Time for my favorite game: Does It Count. I’m going to list several situations from my AUs and ask DOES IT COUNT

1. Character is Brought Back to life via ritual after being killed. Does she count as a zombie, even though she has no craving for flesh, and came back basically the same except for albinism, white hair, and a sick new power. Alternate: does she now count as a vampire, seeing as she’s still undead, even though she isn’t affected by the sun whatsoever. She still needs to eat, drink, and sleep.

2. A character can shapeshift between a human, an animal, and a larger, more monstrous version of that animal. All of these are separate transformations, BUT, an additional form is basically just the human with some animal features. Does it count as its own form, or just an incomplete transformation?

3. Does turning into the actual literal ocean count as death, ascension to godhood, or both? I suppose it depends on the level of sentience

4. A boy is merged with a magic sword and they are now one and the same. Is it: a sentient sword that can turn into a boy, or a boy who can turn into a sword

5. Character has an insane amount of control over ghosts and death stuff that borders on divinity, but he’s also not quite a Normal Alive Human. Does he: count as a demigod, count as half dead, or count as Danny Phantom

6. The real kicker: does it count as betrayal if two characters are Miraculous’d and are besties irl and enemies in Vigilante Mode, neither know the other’s identity and mean no harm toward their Bestie Version, but one is trying to murder the other? In the same vein, does it count as betrayal if another character knows one of their identities, actively manipulating that specific person, but doesn’t know the other’s, and is genuine in the friendship (even though she, too, is attempting to kill them)

7. Does possession count as psychological or body horror? (The variant where the consciousness is overpowered, but the physical body remains the same)

8. Okay. This sound bad. But it is relevant. Does it count as noncon if Character A is assuming an identity that is not their own in order to get with Character B for the purpose of manipulating them, but B entirely consents to whatever situation leads to the potential con, and A doesn’t actually go through with anything? I keep circling this one, but I think the tag “dubcon due to identity issues” makes the most sense

9. Does gaining the ability to look and sound like a living being by first murdering them count as bodysnatching? The original body is Normal Dead and disposed of like any other corpse - it is the murderer’s body that physically changes

10. You die and are resurrected with no memories, and those who knew you say you came back different. Does this count as Coming Back Wrong, even though there’s physically nothing wrong, and you’re happy?
